SEVERED SAVIOR Parts Ways With Drummer, Pulls Out Of CENTRAL ILLINOIS METALFEST
May 6, 2008San Francisco-based death metallers SEVERED SAVIOR have parted ways with drummer Troy Fullerton. As a result, the group has cancelled its appearance at the Central Illinois Metalfest, which is scheduled to take place July 18-20 at the Canopy Club in Urbana, Illinois. Replacing them on the bill is Alabama's QUINTA ESSENTIA.
SEVERED SAVIOR recently unveiled the artwork for its new album, "Servile Insurrection", due later in the year via Willowtip Records. The cover, which was created by Pr Olofsson, can be viewed at this location.
SEVERED SAVIOR last year announced the addition of vocalist Anthony Trapani to the group's ranks. "Many of you know Anthony from his work on the recent (and crushing) ODIOUS MORTEM release 'Cryptic Implosion'," the band previously wrote in a press release. "And we feel that his vocal style and lyrical sensibilities will fit perfectly with our new material."
The band's full-length debut, "Brutality is Law", was released in 2003. The CD was recorded at Digit Sound in San Pablo, California and was supported by tours with CANNIBAL CORPSE and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER.
